More About This Wine

The light cherry red colour is already telling us something about the freshness of this wine. Yes, the nose can be a bit reductive at first, so make sure you open it at least 30 minutes before drinking it. Then the pretty violets and lots of sun-ripened strawberries and raspberries show up, and you are hooked for good. On the mouth the wine is supple, moreish, quenching. This wine is suitable to be drunk chilled, a “vin de soif par excellence”, going equally well with a bbq, pizza, pork and picnics.

Hows it's made

Blend of young vines of Carignan, Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre from a sandy plot, vinified “en mille feuille”. Short maceration over ten days in the same vat, where the grapes are added in layers as they are harvested. First the Grenache, a couple of days later the Carignan, finally the Mourvèdre, added almost green, that will stay in the vat for only a couple of days. The must is then worked at 17-18℃ like a white or a rosé.
