More About This Wine

Bright purple colour. Powerful red and blue fruits, floral hints and spice qualities on the expansive nose. On the palate it is round and ample, with spice-tinged raspberry, cherry and mulberry flavours. Showing purity of fruit and uplifting freshness, silky tannins, fantastic energy. Clean, long and richly satisfying.

Hows it's made

Charly typically harvests late and the wine is made by classic semi-carbonic maceration, thus whole bunch, uncrushed, in concrete vats, with temperatures kept cool to around 10℃, using natural yeasts, no other additives, and no sulfites until a touch before bottling. Three weeks’ maceration. Time is the only factor left to do the job here, the only intervention is the bi-weekly analysis, which is used to follow the evolution of the wine. Aged for one year, 50% in concrete tanks and 50% in Burgundy-style old barrels.
