More About This Wine
When tasting this volcanic red, one can almost imagine the steep, high altitude vineyards which cling to the slopes of Mount Etna. An intense yet fresh nose of cranberry and mediterranean herbs leads onto a palate bursting with pomegranate and wild berry notes, mint and chocolate. Finely grained tannins line the spicy finish.
Hows it's made
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Maceration on the skins for about five days with two to three days of pumping over. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged 12 months in French barriques, followed by a minimum of eight months in the bottle.
