About Domaine des
Ronces
Domaine des Ronces was founded in 1950 by Georges Mazier and is located in the town of Orbagna in the south of Jura. It was taken over in 1986 by Michel Mazier and has expanded over the years to 6ha. In 2010, the estate converted to organic and by 2014 it turned to biodynamic using only natural plants such as cow horn manure, silica and wicker tea for processing. 2016 saw the arrival of Kevin Mazier, the third generation of Maziers to the domain. The vinyeard produces a wide variety of wine; from floral whites to typical whites, from Pinot red, to Rosé, from Cremant Blanc to Cremant Rosé.
When the domain was first established it was planted exclusively with Chardonnay on a 1ha plot. Since then, Michel increased both the size and varieties grown, to a size of 6ha and by planting Trousseau, Poulsard and Pinot Noir grapes (red) along with the white grape Savignin.
