About Domaine
Bonnet Huteau

Nestled in La Chapelle-Heulin by the river Sèvre Nantaise, so right in the heart of Muscadet’s Sèvre et Maine appellation, 20km from Nantes and 10km from the lovely medieval town of Clisson. Domaine Bonnet Hauteau has been producing Muscadet for over 150 years. Today it is run by the fourth generation Bonnet brothers, Jean-Jacques and Rémi, together with winemaker Vincent Pineau. This 42ha vineyard has been certified organic since 2005, and biodynamic since 2010.

The wine is made from vines up to 30 years old, cultivated organically (certified by Ecocert) and biodynamically (certified by Biodyvin). The soil is shallow and rich in mica, schist and gneiss which give this wine its distinctive minerality. The domain does not use any weed-killer in the vineyards, nor any synthetic chemicals to feed the soil.
