About Asolo
Manor
The vineyard of Asolo Manor is situated in the hills overlooking the delightful town of Asolo, one of the most beautiful villages of Veneto. Asolo Manor is a project of three friends: Ruggero, Walter and Giuseppe. Three men, three stories, three different experiences united by a single philosophy: respect for the land and honour of the ancient traditions of the region. Their vineyard has been certified organic since 2018.
The Asolo hills are between 200-300m high. The vines grow on steep, south facing slopes with excellent ventilation.
The soil is rocky and calcareous. Thanks to the limestone, the steepness of the vineyard and the low percentage of clay in the soil, the vineyard has excellent drainage and is naturally resistant to soil diseases. The vine roots go deep down into the rocks, giving the wine a distinctive sapidity (salty minerality). The climate is temperate, with optimal daily thermal excursions, hot summers (although never muggy) and cold winters. Harvesting can only happen manually here.
